Safety On School Premises

Parents and carers; please do not park in the school car park at drop off and pick up times as this is used for school transport.
All users of the car park, please reverse park and take care not to block the bark chipping footpath on the north side.
Staggered school starts alleviate a little of the parking difficulties outside school- please park facing the direction of traffic, disembark on the pavement side of the vehicle if possible and turn at either end of the village rather than in the carriageway.
Our school is in a beautiful rural environment, but is not without hazards such as nettles, brambles and fungi. Children are taught to manage these risks as well as trips and hazards that occur as part of everyday life. This sense of responsibility and independence is important as children move through their school life and beyond. We are proud of the way our children can independently manage their own risks, behaviour and equipment. We make the most of our school grounds every day in rain, hail, snow and sunshine and ask for children to be prepared with wellies, waterproofs, sun hats and suncream as required.
