Pele Trust

Pele Trust is a group of schools based in and around the village of Ponteland; the schools work closely together. The Trust consists of Ponteland High School and five primaries: Belsay School, Darras Hall Primary School, Heddon-on-the-Wall St Andrew's C of E Primary School, Ponteland Primary School and Richard Coates C of E Primary School.

The Trust takes its name from the Pele Tower in Ponteland. Pele towers are often found in the borders: fortified towers used for communication and protection.
