School Council

Our School Council Members 
 

Every year group has chosen two children to be their representatives on the School Council. The School Council meets regularly to discuss suggestions put forward by the respective classes. They are the voice of the pupils and are expected to be good role models and ambassadors for the school.

School Council Members are:

 •        Reliable

•        Responsible

•        Friendly and approachable

•        Good at listening to everyone

•        Able to remember things

•        Honest and sensible

•        Hardworking.

 

These are the things the School Council Member needs to do:

 •        Attend meetings, turn up on time and be interested

•        Listen to the views and opinions of the class and bring them to the meeting.

•        Report everyone’s ideas and opinions even if they are not your own

•        Bring ideas to the meeting that will make the school a better place to be

•        Feedback information to your class – ask your teacher for a time to do this

•        Wear your badge so people know that you are in School Council

•        Collect views of pupils from your classroom and the playground

•        Present some assemblies with support from teachers
