Design and Technology 8.1.21

This half term our topic in D&T is 'Cooking and Nutrition'. Some of the areas we will cover include: 
  • Understanding and applying the principles of a healthy and varied diet
  • To prepare a variety of predominantly savoury dishes using a range of cooking techniques
  • Understand seasonality, and know where and how a variety of ingredients are grown, reared, caught and processed
Friday 8th January
Read through the following powerpoint about healthy eating and living. The task today is to complete a healthy eating plate. Children could print this out and cut and stick the items into the correct areas, or draw their own. If children would like to try the additional sheet I have attached that below.
